Workshop 1 (Eczema and Anaphylaxis)

Introduction (Prof. Ting Fan LEUNG) (10 min)
• Skin care and assessment for eczema • Emergency management in anaphylaxis |

Practical for participants (35 min)
• Wet wrap (Dr. Nancy CHENG, Ms. Sharon CHE) • Skin prick tests with common food allergens (Ms. Chloris LEUNG, Dr. Alfred TANG, Ms. Joy HONG) • Technique of Jext autoinjector administration (Ms. Sally WONG) * Participants need to stop all oral drugs for at least one week prior to the workshop, otherwise these drugs may affect the results of skin prick testing |

• Diagnosis of allergic diseases (Dr. Christine WAI) • Indications and different approaches for allergen immunotherapy and safety considerations (Prof. Ting Fan LEUNG) |

Practical (35 min)
• Spirometry (Dr. Alfred TANG) • Skin prick tests with common inhalant allergens (Dr. Nancy CHENG, Ms. Sally WONG, Ms. Chloris LEUNG) • Demonstration of different immunotherapy kits (Prof. Ting Fan LEUNG) * Participants need to stop all oral drugs for at least one week prior to the workshop, otherwise these drugs may affect the results of skin prick testing |
